Kathlyn Tran, D.D.S.
Dr. Kathlyn Tran is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA, School of Dentistry in 2017. Dr. Tran was a member of both the UCLA, Vietnamese Dental Association and the Union of Vietnamese Student Association of Southern California. She participated in various Vietnamese health fairs and medical mission trips. She enjoys providing dental care for underserved patients, while traveling to different places and countries. She also enjoys hiking, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and spending time with friends and family. As President, Dr. Tran hopes to serve the Central Florida community, preserve the Vietnamese culture within the Vietnamese community, and hopefully coordinate medical mission trips to Vietnam in the future.
Myhanh T. Nguyen, M.D.
Dr. Myhanh Nguyen received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL with Highest Honors, completed her ophthalmology residency at Tufts – New England Medical Center in Boston, MA, and became a specialist of Cornea, Refractive, and External Diseases through her fellowship training at Jules Stein - UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. She currently practices as a specialist in Cornea, Cataract, and LASIK. Dr. Nguyen has been the Vice President of Medicine for the Association since 2009. Her goals are to spread appreciation, excitement, and unity among the members through fun and educational events. When not busy planning for the Association, Dr. Nguyen plans travel and social events for her family and friends. She enjoys fine wine, scuba diving, arts & crafts, and learning Chinese.
Long Hoang, D.M.D.
Dr. Long Hoang grew up in the suburbs of Orlando. After graduating from Winter Springs High School, Dr. Hoang was able to attend his dream school, the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelors Degree in Microbiology and subsequently his Doctorate of Dentistry. After graduating in 2009, Dr. Hoang moved back to Orlando to be near his family and to create smiles everywhere he goes.
In his free time, Dr. Hoang can be found watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Hoang has been an active member of YND since 2012 and the Vice President of Dentistry since 2019 .
Jenny Anh Thu Nguyen, Pharm.D.
Dr. Jenny Nguyen received her Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from Mercer University College of Pharmacy. She has been a member of the Vietnamese Associations of Physicians, Dentists, and Pharmacists of Florida since 2010 and serve as Vice-President of Pharmacy for the past five years. Currently, she is a Director Of Marketing for Millennium Specialty Pharmacy. With her expertise in marketing, she hopes to bring more resources to the organization.
In her spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys connecting with people, cooking, shopping, traveling, exploring, and just hanging out with family and friends!
Heidi Tran, Pharm.D.
Dr. Heidi Tran graduated from Florida A&M University with a Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy in 2006. She moved to Orlando, FL with her family to be close to the Vietnamese community. Dr. Tran has been with the Vietnamese Association of Physicians, Dentists, and Pharmacists of Florida and served as Treasurer since 2014. She currently works as a pharmacist for a Fortune 500 company HCA Healthcare. In her spare time, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling. Dr. Tran also enjoys learning about different types of investment especially in real estate and stock markets and hopefully one day can help Vietnamese younger generation learn more about different opportunities to invest.
Theresa Dung Truong, Pharm.D.
After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Theresa Dung Truong moved to Florida with her family and recently received her Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University, College of Pharmacy.
Since a very young age, Dr. Theresa Dung Truong has been very interested in community activities and mission trips. Even now as a pharmacist, she’d love to continue those meaningful activities as thankfulness for what she has received. She has recently joined Caritas Catholic Charity in Viet Nam with hopes of being able to help the underprivileged community there in the future.
Besides her work, she enjoys cooking, reading, watching comedy and romantic movies, photographing, and traveling with her family.
As the Secretary General of YND, she hopes to serve the Vietnamese community and contribute to the development of YND.
